To use NotePop on a Newton 100, 110, 120/1.3, or Original MessagePad, please download version 1.0 of NotePop.* What's it do?--------------------------------------------------------------------- NotePop places a button in the statusbar of the NotePad. This button will allow you to easily transfer selected text from the current note to another. * What's in this archive?--------------------------------------------------------------------- There are three Newton software packages and three text files inthis archive. They are: * NotePop.txt document you're now reading. 'Nuff said. * NotePop.pkg software package you'll install on your Newton. * SASReg.pkg software package you'll install on your Newton to enter the password you get when you register NotePop. * Register.txt read me file describing the Register software. * Register.pkg software package you can install on your Newton to use Register, which will allow you to pay for NotePop via email. * SAStuff.txt A list of all Stand Alone products.* Installing NotePop--------------------------------------------------------------------- First off, you must get the NotePop software package onto yourNewton. You can do this using the Newton Connection Utility (for Mac orWindows), the Newton Package Downloader, or the Newton BackupUtility. See the documentaion with each of these for moreinformation on installing packages with them.* Using NotePop---------------------------------------------------------------------If you've just written a bunch of stuff on a note and decide to move it to another note, it's usually a pain to drag it to the side, find the other note, paste it in, and then return to your original note. Enter Note Pop. After initially selecting your text, hit the Note Pop button and a list of all notes in your current folder will pop up. Selecting one of those will copy the selected text to the end of that note. At the top of the list are two other choices: "New Note" and "New Dated Note." "New Note" will create a new unfiled note with your selection as it's content, and "New Dated Note" will do the same and add the current date to the top. If there's no text selected, clicking the Note Pop button will pop up a list that will let you create a new note or a new dated note, both empty.* Registering NotePop--------------------------------------------------------------------- You have a 30 day trial period in which to examine NotePop, during which it will function fully.
