Trouble in Paradise

  1. You get errors from your Newton saying "nHTTPd is not yet installed or is frozen"
    Why?
This is coming from the plugins. They need nHTTPd to be active and installed so they can register with it. In order for this to happen, nHTTPd has to be activated BEFORE they are, so if you have your plugins on the Internal store and nHTTPd on a card, then after a restart they are going to try to register with nHTTPd before it becomes active. For nest results, keep both the plugins and the server on the same store and make sure if you freeze these packages to Thaw nHTTPd FIRST, then the others.
  2. You get a nice message when you try to access a page showing you the directories available to you (html, dates, post).
    Why?
This is nHTTPd's most polite error and it's returned when it thinks you have just asked for a bad file name or if you forget to add the directory to your server's URL.
  3. You get an error saying no data translators are installed.
    Why?
It's likely that problem 1 is at play here. To fix this, quickly freeze your pHTML, pDATES, and pPOST then thaw them out. This will force them to register with nHTTPd.
  4. You get a noisy alert saying "Internet Server: Something bad happened"
    Why?
Your connection has been screwed up somehow. Either someone called and kicked your modem, someone port-scanned you, your email program tried to get its mail, or something else random and the bare-bones implementation of a server we have here can't deal with it. To recover, try Stopping the connection, quitting nHTTPd, and re-connecting. Or you might have to bite the bullet and restart your Newt...
  5. nHTTPd's close box is gone!
    Why?
In case you missed it, when a connection is active, the close box is hidden to prevent accidental tapping. It'll re-appear when you tap the Stop button.
  6. No notes are available to my server!
    Why?
    Let's eliminate some possibilities...
    1. All your Notes MUST have names. Don't leave blank ones in the Web directory
    2. They all must be plain-text notes. Behavior of this software is un-defined when non-plaintext notes are made available for access.
    3. Your home page is not reloading and thus you can't see the ones you added. Check the time at the bottom and make sure it's current.
    4. You have some sort of Notepad enhancing software installed and it's altered the soup so that my package can't understand it. Tell me what you have installed and maybe we can fix it.
  7. After Deleting pDATES:MAVON I get a message saying it erased the HTML cache!
    Why?
This is a courtesy erase I chose to implement because the cached HTML generated by Agenda server can be quite large. I have assumed that if you're freezing Agenda Server, then by the time you Thaw it again, the Dates data will be invalid anyway so there's no need to have it hanging around taking up space.
