WHAT'S NEW

Out of Pocket 1.5b9  9/9/96
- Added ability to change type of sales tax on the fly vice only from prefs.
- Fixed bug: if you previously set sales tax and later change the expense
  amount, will now update the sales tax amounts automatically.
- Fixed bug: if you previously set an exchange rate, and later change the
  expense amount, will now update the exchange rate for that expense only. This
  makes it trivial to update your expenses from a foreign trip if the credit
  card company uses a different rate than you did (they always do). Instead of
  calculating the new rate for each day's expenses, you only need to scrub out
  and enter the amount the credit card company says you spent.

- Fixed a bug with creating a new project: if the user was just creating the
  first project and tapped the 'Default project' checkbox, an error occurred.
- Fixed an intermittent bug that occurred for some users when saving a new

INSTALLATION
------------
1. Install all four packages on your MessagePad using NBU or the appropriate
Package Installer application for your computer.
2. Out of Pocket is installed to the Unfiled folder of the Extras drawer.
3. The other packages are report formats and are installed in the Extensions
   folder of the Extras drawer. They appear as format choices when you print
   or fax.

KNOWN ISSUES
------------
1. We have observed that printing to a StyleWriter occasionally displays the
   dreaded "Out of memory" message. We are working with Apple to find the 
   reason for this and will notify all registered users when we have a
   solution.
   
2. The MessagePad has a bug in the printing system that affects landscape-
   format reports: only the odd-numbered pages print correctly. Apple has a
   fix in the form of a system patch which updates the MP120 and MP130. The
   patch is available on the Apple Newton web site.
